Cordstrap has
been producing corded polyester strapping and one-way load
restraint systems in the Netherlands since 1965. As
specialists in the field of load restraint and transit
packaging, Cordstrap also supplies Dunnage Bags, Edgeboards,
Anti-slip Mats and other accessories. The Cordstrap Mission
is to solve customers’ transport packaging problems at the
lowest overall cost. Cordstrap Dunnage Bags are specially
designed inflatable bags used for stabilising and securing
cargo inside containers, railcars, trucks, and ships,
preventing transit damage.
Industrial Cordstrap Dunnage Bags are placed in the void
between the cargos. When inflated they form a 3-dimensional
bulkhead thus preventing the cargo from shifting. Cordstrap
Dunnage Bags are manufactured with one or more layers of
wet-strength kraft paper with a polyethylene liner. The bags
are available in different strengths and a wide variety of
sizes from 60 x 60 cm (24” x 24“) to 120 x 225 cm (48” x
96”) and special sizes are available upon request. Cordstrap
Dunnage Bags are equipped with two different types of
valves. Re-usable dunnage bags are fitted with a screw-on
quick-fill valve and can be used several times to reduce
costs.
Cordstrap Dunnage Bags are approved by the Association of
American Railroads. Cordstrap Intermodal Bags are specially
developed for intermodal transportation and are equipped
with a quick-fill one way safety valve. The Intermodal
dunnage air bags are approved by the Association of American
Railroads for intermodal applications. |
Cordstrap
Dunnage Bags (CDB's) prevent transit damage during
transportation of goods inside export containers by road,
rail and sea. CDB’s are widely used in the shipping industry
for stabilising cargo.
Manufactured from one or more layers of heavy duty kraft
paper with a polyethylene liner, CDB's are inflated,
exerting pressure between the load and the container,
thereby bracing the load. |

and time consuming use of timber and synthetic fillings.
Cordstrap specialists will advise on the correct type and
size of bags and the optimum loading patterns required for
the effective restraint of the load. When used correctly and
where recovery is possible, Cordstrap Dunnage Bags are
re-usable, giving a further reduction in costs. The Research
